Huckleberries

So, to any of my family that is doing bees......I would be willing to trade some huckleberries for that very precious raw honey? Any bites?

Tis the season

So I've been busy picking huckleberries.....it's not really my bag, but EVERYONE loves them, and the jam makes really good christmas presents. I've not really been into it so much this year as my week is broke up by having to work, but I've got a gallon and a half so far, and I will be up picking as long as I can. I also have a few lines on raspberries this year too, so I will make jam out of those as well.
Today I picked where Misty has been picking this year, and she ran into a black bear earlier in the picking season, so I've carried Jades 9mm and taken Bernice with me. Here she is just feet from me, lounging under the shade of some huckleberry bushes. Isn't she my pretty dog?

Durango and his mamma

So, Brittany came to get Durango last night and they're heading home today. How sad to not have him, BUT, he will only be gone for a month. Not sure how Bernice will handle being the only dog again. Here are me and Durango on the porch last night, RIGHT before the power went out, we had a storm....
